Relax...it's Saturday

Saturday morning spent buying local goodness @ the Farmers' Market and trinkets @ the Goodwill, and then a massage with Amanda @ In Motion (my shoulder and neck are already starting to feel better after two sessions). A skinny vanilla decaf latte and a breakfast croissant with poached egg, tomatoes and spinach. Plans made for antiquing tomorrow morning with my Sarnia lifesaver Chris. And a call that the Hub is coming home tonight and not tomorrow.

I want to snuggle up in my bed and relax but a looming freelance deadline propels me to my computer. {sigh}.

High five

Friday. The weekend in sight. And I'm at home trying to keep a sore throat at bay. Sigh. But at least the sun is shining in a beautiful fall way.  An early morning at the Farmers' Market tomorrow and little, fun to-dos with the hub. Oh, and high fives are one of my favourite things.
(Can't remember where I first found this photo...opps!)

pop of colour

Another lovely (and cheap) bouquet of flowers from the Farmers' Market. Gracing the new kitchen table top.

pop of colour

I needed a spirit uplift the other morning. The remedy: a six dollar bouquet of flowers from the farmers' market. How could this pop of colour not make me smile?

Canning rewards

We are opening the fruits of my labour tonight: a jar of homemade bread and butter pickles. I bought the canning cukes at the Sarnia Farmers' Market back in the fall and attempted to preserve for the first time. Lip-smacking good.
