Travel daydreaming: Anywhere

My daily compass is soon to shift to a more structured, a more demanding schedule. But before it does, I'd love to just go anywhere. Image found here.

Surfer chic

The Hub surfs. He loves to surf. He just got laser eye surgery to make his surfing better. But I'm in my soft-core thirties and when I had the chance to learn alongside the Hub in New Zealand three years ago, I declined. But if I did surf, wouldn't this be really surfer chic? Found at a new favourite blog called Aubrey Road.

Wish list: Notebooks

Let's just pretend I am still in school and my mom told me I could buy three beautiful new notebooks to start the school year. I'd buy the following three from Poppytalk Handmade's current market.

Wish list: Key chain

A little Made in Canada nautically-inspired key chain found over @ Aubrey Road.

11-month mark

It has almost been a year. I am daydreaming of Slovenia and Croatia.

Cabin kitchen

If we owned a small cabin, this would be a lovely kitchen to have. Found via That Kind of Woman.

Deer Tick

The Hub and I unanimously agreed: being in T.O. affords us the luxury of seeing live music on any given night. Take Tuesday night for example: headed down to Queen West to the legendary Horsehoe to see Providence, RI, alt-rockers Deer Tick.

Travel inspiration: Packing your bags

Despite how much I've travelled - overseas or by land - I still always fret when it comes to packing. I just adore these sketches by the uber-creative lady over @ Bugheart. Her fine lines and organization guarantee just the right stuff will be packed.

Inspiration: A beach on a cloudy day

It is so hot in the city today. I wish I was at this beach, under a cover of clouds. Found via the inspiring That Kind of Woman.

Summer at a lake

Wish list: Outdoor rug

I'm adding this 100% recycled plastic outdoor carpet to my wish list. They are sold under the brand Mad Mat.

Inspiration: Little person

This little one inspired my weekend.

Blitzen Trapper

These boys from Portland, Oregon sure know how to rock. Fun show last night @ the Opera House in T.O.

Long weekends

The hub and I went mending up @ Bruce Peninsula National Park. Thank goodness for small miracles and a husband with a big heart.
